PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THROUGH ALL INFORMATION BEFORE ENROLLING. *Registration is for the entire 2026/27 school year (September-April) *Class is open to students in grades 6+UP. *Everything will be NEW this year! In this weekly 1.5-hour class designed just for our more advanced upper grade students, artists will explore their creativity through reading, writing, making and creating! Participants will learn the fundamentals of art as they are introduced to a wide variety of mediums and new processes to make beautiful masterpieces in our signature style. They will learn art history through the in-depth study of four famous artists, including Pierre-Auguste Renoir (Impressionism), Georges Seurat (Pointillism), Sonia Delaunay (Cubism), and Romero Britto (Pop Art). Students will learn about each artist's life story, creative journey and unique artistic styles. They will replicate famous artwork, complete comprehension/vocabulary/art reflection activities, and create a simple biography report about each artist. Participants will study the seven Elements of Art (color, line, shape, value, form, texture and space) through the creation of hands-on art projects and sketchbook activities. At the end of the year, artists will use their creativity and new skills to create a special "personal project" for our Art Show. In addition to our art history study, we will celebrate the holidays with the cutest & merriest Christmas projects and a "Cookies & Cocoa" pajama party in December. We'll culminate the year with an Art Show for family and friends at the end of April! PLEASE READ: This is a year-long, 30-week commitment. The cost is $120 per month for eight months, September-April, totaling $960 for the year ($480 per semester). Cost includes all instruction (45 hours), materials, special class activities, and an AMAZING Art Show. A $50 non-refundable registration fee is required to enroll your child and secure their space for the year. Monthly invoices will be emailed and are due by the 5th of each month September-April. Reminder there is no class on November 25 (Thanksgiving break), December 23 & 30 (Christmas break), February 17 (winter break), and March 24 (spring break). Art Show will be on April 28.
