PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THROUGH ALL INFORMATION BEFORE ENROLLING. *NEW STUDENTS WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF JANUARY 13* *Registration is for spring semester (January-April) *Class is open to students in grades 6+UP. In this weekly 2-hour class designed just for our upper grade students, artists will explore their creativity through reading, writing, making and creating! Participants will learn the fundamentals of art as they are introduced to a wide variety of mediums and new processes to make beautiful masterpieces in our signature style. They will learn art history through an in-depth study of famous artists, including Edgar Degas and Yayoi Kusama. Students will learn about how each artist saw the world and their unique artistic styles. They will replicate famous artwork and complete a biography report about each artist. Participants will also study the seven Elements of Art (color, line, shape, value, form, texture and space) through the creation of a fun interactive sketchbook. In addition to our art history study, students will exchange friendship cards for Valentine’s Day in February and show off their masterpieces from the entire school year during our Art Show in May! PLEASE READ: This is a semester-long, 15-week commitment. The cost is $100 per month for four months, January-April, totaling $400 for the semester. Cost includes all instruction (22.5 hours), materials, and special class activities. A $25 non-refundable registration fee is required to enroll your child and secure their space for the semester. Monthly invoices will be emailed and are due by the 5th of each month January-April.
