Join us each month for making and creating at home as we delve into inspiring literature, delightful art projects, tasty treats, and sensory play! January is dedicated to winter fun!

Snowmen at Night is the sweetest story that explores all the fun snowmen have while everyone is sleeping!
Introduce your young artist to printmaking by creating a flurry of snowflakes! Gather 12x18 white construction paper, snowflake stamps, tempera paint and a wide paintbrush. Begin by painting the foam snowflake stamp with a thin layer of tempera paint. Press the stamp firmly down onto construction paper, making sure not to wiggle the stamp around. Lift up, and voilà ! Fill your paper with multi-colored snowflakes in a variety of shapes.
Get creative in the kitchen with this delicious winter treat! You'll need mini powdered donuts, mini M&M's, a small tube of black frosting, mini Reese's cups, multicolored sour strips, pretzel sticks, and wooden skewers. Start by sliding three mini powdered donuts onto a wooden skewer. Insert pretzel sticks into the center donut for arms and wrap a sour strip around the neck as a scarf. Use a dab of frosting to attach the snowman's hat (mini Reese's cup), place a mini M&M in the center of each donut hole for buttons, add dot eyes & mouth with frosting! It's so adorable and simple!
Unable to head to the mountains for some snow fun? No worries! Simply prepare a batch of this amazing Instant Snow to keep your kids entertained for hours! It's soft, moist, and incredibly fun to play with. This Build a Snowman Kit is a really wonderful sensory project too!
